How do you interact with Facility Managers?
My goal is to always be the face of our company before, during, and after each project so that the communication between client and contractor is seamless.

Tell us about a favorite project related to working with a Facility Manager.
URI was asked to clean an entire steam plant for a Philadelphia area University so that a painting contractor could paint 4 large boilers. We need to stay 1 step ahead of the painting crew so that all critical timelines could be met.

What is your greatest success story related to working with Facility Managers?
After a tornado from Hurricane Ida struck Ambler, PA. URI worked around the clock with a university facility team in getting 12 buildings that were heavily affected from wind and water damage operational.

Tell us about a challenge or obstacle that you faced working with a Facility Manager and how you overcame it.
A heavy rain event affected a local mall. URI needed to use multiple teams to work with mall personnel as well as 26 individual stores that were also affected so that each claim could be presented separately.

What is something that most people do not know about you?
I started in the Disaster Recovery industry in 1988 and worked as an insurance adjuster prior to restoration which has been my career since 2004.

What learning experience would you pass onto future FM’s?
Communication is one of the main reasons all projects succeed…or fail. Communicate your needs affectively and make sure your contractor does the same.
