FM SPOTLIGHT

Keith Hughes

Keith has been covering the Philadelphia area as an account manager with MilliCare by EBC since 2002, a company that specializes in floor care services and implements maintenance programs to keep customer’s flooring investment looking great throughout its life.   The day he was hired his owner recommended he sign up for IFMA and join the membership committee.  Six years later he became the chair of the committee and in 2020 became co-chair of the Program Committee.

Tell us about a favorite project related to working with a Facility Manager.
One of the great benefits of being in IFMA are building tours, from walking on roofs to exploring the bowels of mechanical rooms and learning the depth and breadth of an FM’s responsibilities so I can better anticipate their needs and make their life easier with regard to their floor care.

How do you interact with Facility Managers?
I treat my customers as if they were my only one.  I receive great joy from the initial meeting of a facility manager, building a relationship of trust, and then coming up with solutions to serve them with their floor care needs.

What is something that most people do not know about you?
My wife and I are dumpster divers. We like to see discarded ‘trash’ be saved from landfills and restore it to its original beauty and function.
