How did you get into Facility Management?
I started assisting FM’s when I started with Schnoll Painting 7 years ago as a Business Development/Project Manager.

Tell us about a favorite project.
Without a doubt, painting the stunning exterior of the historical Lit Brothers Building at 701 Market.

What is your greatest success story?
Myself in this industry! I came into the paint world with no real knowledge or experience. Throughout my time at Schnoll Painting I have learned so much about not only paint, but facilities in general. Oh, and I am the first sales rep at Schnoll Painting to sign 4 million dollars’ worth of repaint/maintenance work! #humblebrag ?

Tell us about a challenge or obstacle that you faced in the Facilities field and how you overcame it.
It’s a bit nerve wracking walking into a project meeting or a job site full of men (or women) who have much more knowledge/experience then me. As a woman in the industry, I make sure to do my homework prior to meetings or walk throughs. I make sure I know what I am talking about and if there is something I am unsure of, I am not afraid to ask questions! Pro Tip: Ask the questions, 9 out of 10 people will be happy to help you!

What is something that most people do not know about you?
I restore and refinish vintage furniture!

What learning experience would you pass onto future FM’s?
Although I am not an FM, I would say to anyone coming up in facilities management, find those mentors that can help guide you along the way. Learning from those who are experienced in your field is priceless. Some things you just cannot learn in the classroom!
