Ultra Violet light in the form of germicidal lamps has been used since the late1800s to kill the types of microorganisms that typically cause indoor air quality (IAQ) problems – bacteria, mold, yeast and viruses.

The Ultra Violet Germicidal Irradiation (UVGI) process pierces the cellular wall to break the DNA/RNA of biological contaminants, destroying their ability to reproduce and colonize.
There are no known pathogens that are resistant to a lethal dose of UV Germicidal energy.

In this presentation, the speakers will discuss how to use this technology to make your building safer.

Speakers
Brian Peifer, Energy Services Account Executive, Tozour Energy Systems
A Certified Energy Manager with 30 years in the HVAC, Building Automation, and Energy industry. Brian began working with UV lighting a few years ago, employing it as an Energy Conservation Measure that also had the added benefit of improving Indoor Air Quality (IAQ). Now, it is the IAQ benefits of UV that will be critically important for our buildings going forward.
